Volunqueers, Volunteers & Mentors

Please fill out the following form and send an email, as instructed, afterwards.

Volunqueers, Volunteers & Mentors needed:

  • LGBTQIA+ and strong ally lived experience
  • Training provided
  • Volunqueers (ages 21+) should be available: two+ weekend afternoons/month and/or some weekday evenings AND 1 staff meeting/month. This is a youth peer group facilitator position.
  • Volunteers (ages 16+) should be available the same day each week for a 3 hour shift between 12pm-6pm. This is the front counter/resources position.
  • Mentors (ages 19+) should be available: the same time each week, afternoons or weekends, daytime in the summer/school breaks. This is a drop-in supervisor position.

VOLUNQUEER • vol·un·kwir

(noun) A queer adult who uses their own lived experience to do life-saving work with our next queer generation.

(verb) The act of modeling resilience, representing vulnerability, and showing up rain or shine for queer and trans youth who don’t often see their future selves present in their communities.

(adjective) Enabling belongingness, ensuring community, emphasizing thriving. The most valuable asset to #SplashNoCo.

#Volunqueers: LGBTQIA+ ages 21-35 • peer social support leaders, drop-in supervision, special projects

#Mentors: ages 19+ LGBTQIA+ & strong allies • special projects, workshop leaders

#Volunteers: ages 16+ LGBTQIA+ & strong allies • drop-in supervision, special projects, fundraising, gift shop, community engagement, sponsor and donor recruitment, and more

What is a Splash Dance or Queer Prom?
SafeSpaces where youth can come as their authentic selves and dance however they feel. They are great places for youth to connect and obtain the resources they need. We are always looking for great sponsors and donors, who see the value in SafeSpaces and deserve recognition for that!

SPLASH Youth Groups are safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people to meet. We provide this space for teens and young people without judgment.  Our youth depend on your loving and passionate donations to continue ensuring that LGBTQ+ Youth have safe spaces to grow.
